The Sand Springs Municipal Authority passed a resolution authorizing more than $2 million in renovations to The Canyons at Blackjack Ridge golf course and clubhouse Monday evening. The entire clubhouse will undergo extensive remodeling, and improvements will be made to the course greens, tee-boxes, sand bunkers, and cart trails. The 18-hole Canyons course at the The Canyons At Blackjack Ridge facility in Sand Springs, features 6,113 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 71. The course rating is 69.5 and it has a slope rating of 125 on Bermuda grass. Designed by Floyd Farley, ASGCA/(R) Randy Heckenkemper, the Canyons golf course opened in 1958.
